What follows is a summary of a letter to customers of the newly formed Community & Southern Bank from CEO Pat Frawley:
"Dear Valued Customers,
Welcome to your new bank - Community & Southern Bank ("CSB"). CSB is a newly chartered, Georgia-based bank that has acquired the loans and deposits of the First National Bank of Georgia headquartered in Carrollton effective at the close of business Friday, January 29, 2010. Over the next few months, we will be integrating the operations of this bank into Community & Southern Bank. We will keep you apprised of key information as we progress through this integration process.
What does CSB's acquisition of the First National Bank of Georgia mean for you as a customer?
Your deposit accounts remain FDIC insured and readily accessible. You will see many familiar faces at our branches.Your new bank is financially strong. We are customer and community focused. Our intent is to provide you with exemplary customer service. One final important point regards our loan customers.
With the recent turmoil in Georgia's banking industry, many may have some anxiety regarding the safety of your deposits and the access to credit. Our view is that a bank with substantial capital resources and a strong, experienced management team provides individuals and small businesses with the opportunity to strengthen and satisfy their financial needs. Those are two distinct characteristics of your new bank, Community & Southern Bank. Thanks for your past support and we look forward to serving you in the future.
Sincerely,
Patrick M. Frawley President & Chief Executive Officer Community & Southern Bank"
