DA Pete Skandalakis Responds To Questions
Questions were presented to the DA`s office.
by D. Tim Clark
July 30, 2010
This morning The Information Age published an article asking the question, "Has Farrah Strength killed before?"
The article was based on conversations Ms. Strength had with her neighbor E.J. Critten, claiming `I have killed before and I don`t have a problem with killing again.`
As background, we presented the shooting death of her father, Jerry Michael Strength in May of 2003 where her mother, Christine Strength was charged with murder. While Christine was arrested and charged, the Carroll County Grand Jury `No Billed` the case. Sources have told us there was abuse in the home, and the grand jury may have felt sorry for the mother and wife.
Was Farrah Strength involved? Was Farrah Strength involved in the killing of her father? Was she boasting to her neighbor about participating in the demise of her father back in 2003 when she said `I have killed before?`
Shortly after publishing this morning`s article, The Information Age contacted District Attorney Pete Skandalakis` office asking 2 questions. District Attorney Pete Skandalakis personally responded to our queries via email:
InfoAge: Did the grand jury likely No-Bill Christine Strength due to the abusive family situation?
DA: Prosecutors are not permitted to be in the grand jury room when the grand jurors are deliberating a case. I cannot speculate, therefore, as to the reason or reasons that the grand jury declined to issue an indictment. I can tell you that we would have presented all known and relevant facts to the grand jury for consideration.
InfoAge: Were there any thoughts regarding Farrah Strength`s involvement or lack of involvement in the death of her father?
DA: Yes. There was no evidence to indicate that Farrah Strength was present or involved in her father's death. All the evidence indicated that Ms. Christine Strength was the only person involved.
